Demonstration Day with Mel Heaton.

I am really delighted to be welcoming Mel back to The Stamp Pad again. She hasn't been with us for quite a while and so it will be lovely to spend some time with her and see her demonstrating in her usual fabulous way.

Crafting Retreat at The Huntsman.

Well Hello Everybody.

          I am really excited to bring you details about our next retreat. We hope that you will come and join us for a fantastic weekend of crafting gorgeousness, fun, friendship and laughter.

I will be bringing you a varied selection of projects including small albums, off the page decorative items and home décor items, so something for everyone.

So on with the essential stuff:

The venue.

Set in the Pennine hills above Holmfirth on the edge of the Peak District National Park, The Huntsman is an excellent base for exploring the magnificent countryside and attractions of the area. These include the Summer Wine country of Holmfirth.

The Huntsman Inn was recently acquired by JW Lees, family brewers since 1828 and has been newly renovated.

They have recently been mystery audited on their standards and service by the Tourist Board / Visit Britain Association and have been awarded four stars!

The Inn offers fifteen luxury en-suite bedrooms, newly built, with far reaching stunning views over the surrounding countryside. There are spacious twin and double rooms with en-suite facilities.

Each room offers guests the following:

• tea and coffee making facilities
• remote control colour TV with radio and alarm
• direct dial telephone
• hair dryer and iron available from reception
• full English Breakfast included

All rooms are furnished to a high standard in a traditional style, with air conditioning for maximum comfort all the year round.

NB: All room bookings need to be received by the 25th of January at the very latest. After this, we can not guarantee being able to book you a room.

The rates are as follows:

£50.00 Single B&B

£55.00 Double B&B 

The Huntsman has its own website and you can view the facilities and examples of menus on there. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let the hotel know beforehand and they will happily accommodate you.

Should the hotel become fully booked and further accommodation is required, we have some lovely local B&B's and farmhouse accommodation also available. However, if you are coming a distance and know you are going to require a room, then I would suggest booking sooner rather than later.

The programme.

The programme hasn't been decided just yet.                 

I will give more details nearer the time regarding projects and what you might like to bring with you.

The Cost.

The cost for accommodation is separate from the craft workshops and will be payable on check out.

The cost for the weekend will be £225.00 inclusive of all workshops, meals and refreshments.

A deposit of £50 is required to secure your place when booking.
